Expression is the chief benefit of existence.*

When I make music, I naturally bend towards the lyrical while encapsulating emotion into what I play. When I write poems or nonfiction, a specific clarity emerges from the words themselves, as I seek to retain the lyrical and the emotional. When I curate jokes, however, I seek to make you smile, to offer a brief pause in your day which will leave you a little lighter and more open for your next task. Enjoy the variety of my website.

* Found in my journal from a Paul Winter improvisational music workshop. I like to think he spoke those exact words, but perhaps it was a conclusion I drew from the amazing music we made with no planning and only one rule – start with silence and end with silence.
