I still feel honored when I am asked to perform, either music or words. I feel affirmed, invited at a deep level, to show up and share something hidden deep inside that can only emerge when others are present. My goal is to incite the energy of those present to come join me as we play in the field Rumi immortalized:
Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing,
there is a field. I’ll meet you there.
I play violin and clarinet with Huzzah, a swing band with strings and horns that plays early jazz and Django Reinhardt/Stephane Grapelli inspired tunes.

Dance held at the historic Murphey School, near Hillsborough NC
I play clarinet and lead the Bulltown Strutters, a large New Orleans influenced brass band in Durham NC. We bring the joy of a New Orleans second line parade, inspiring folks to sing along and dance.
8th Annual Death Faire
November 5, Sunday, 3-4pm
We play a mock NOLA Funeral at Sanctuary of the Burrow, 4479 Moncure Pittsboro Road Moncure, NC 27559. After a graveside ceremony, we lead a procession up the gravel road to a potluck.
